I started this blog in December of 2006 to track my training as I attempted to qualify for the Boston Marathon.

I qualified for Boston at the Wenatchee Marathon in April of 2007 with a time of 3 hours and 5 minutes.

I have continued the blog because it’s a good way to log my workouts and because it’s been fun to share with others who have similar interests.

hey sir, this blogsite is a gold mine! hope you don’t mind if i “stalk” it every now and then. i run a bit but i haven’t really considered being in the level i should be. it seems like an advancing and retreating affair, this running thing. right now i’m still trying to be comfortable with the discomfort of running again, if you can say it like that.
i got a question for you, the stats you have up, from what sort of gadget or “toy” are they coming from. they look pretty straight forward. i don’t even have a heart rate monitor for crying out loud. maybe i should get one like that, huh?
i have a road bike too. i bike to work and sometimes to just deviate from running (another excuse i resort to once ina while). and then i swim at least once a week.
thanks, sir, just knowing you’re reading this says a lot. good luck in your endeavors. i’m on my way to my “long” run today.

I get lots of questions about the charts and graphs that are shown on my blog. I use a Garmin Forerunner 305 and upload all my workouts to motionbased.com for analysis.

Also note that your cool pie charts come from Sweat365. com. :)

Maybe soon we’ll add full garmin import with laps, maps, and all that other jazz.
